With its fully welded 1.2mm, thick steel tube frame that's galvanised to prevent rusting from the inside out this bed was built for the Australian climate. The robust frame comes complete with a 100% biodegradable cover, the old faithful hessian cover will withstand the harshest environments and will hold its own even when exposed to moisture and the elements.

Constructed from high-grade natural fibres found in the jute plant the cover has a natural stretch, which allows dogs the comfort to nest. If it ever gives too much, some time in the sun will return its shape. The cover comes with VELCRO tabs for easy fitting & tightening. Any pet will love the breathability, joint pressure point relief & support offered by this bed. You'll like that it prevents 'woofy' odours as it allows air to circulate freely, its longevity, and replaceable covers.

All our hessian products are treated with natural vegetable oils and pet-safe vegetable dyes, no harsh chemicals.

Some imported hessian products are treated with formaldehyde, a chemical used to make fabrics more resistant to wrinkles, shrinking, and water. While this might sound convenient, it comes at a cost: formaldehyde has been linked to skin irritation, respiratory issues, and long-term health concerns for both pets and humans.

Product Care

Galvanised Steel Frame

Our bed frames may be cleaned using lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Firstly, use a brush to remove encrusted dirt, then wipe down using the detergent and rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water. Dry in the sun.

Avoid direct contact with dissimilar metals, such as brass and copper, particularly in corrosive environments. Don't over-clean your steel frame and avoid abrasive washing as this will wash away its protective barrier and may reduce the life of your product.

If your frame is situated in a highly corrosive environment e.g. in a coastal location, we recommend rinsing it with potable water on a regular basis. You should avoid long term storage of your frame in damp or poorly ventilated areas, the best location for the frame is somewhere dry and well ventilated.

Cover

Simply hose down the cover and if required you can use lukewarm water and a mild detergent to scrub off any encrusted dirt, please rinse thoroughly. Dry in the sun. This cover will withstand the harshest environments even when exposed to moisture and the elements. Made from natural fibres it does have a natural stretch, if you find it has stretched too much some time in the sun will return its shape.
