Ozz Organic Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth is made from the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called Diatoma, a type of hard-shelled algae. They are natural silica which accumulated in riverbeds and streams and are mined and crushed to form a powder.

Diatomaceous Earth is totally natural and contains 15 trace elements.

Diatomaceous Earth can be used for around chicken coops, bird aviaries and in dog or cat bedding, you can even rub some into your pet's fur. Some farmers add it to their livestock and poultry feed to prevent the caking of feed.

Works wonders in your garden:

It can also be used as a growing medium in hydroponic gardens and in potted plants, particularly as bonsai soil. Bonsai enthusiasts use it as a soil additive, or pot a bonsai tree in 100% diatomaceous earth.

In vegetable gardening it is sometimes used as a soil conditioner, because like perlite, vermiculite, and expanded clay, it retains water and nutrients, while draining fast and freely, allowing high oxygen circulation within the growing medium.
