Formulation Highlights:

  • DIGESTIVE SUPPORT: Ice® contains a high fibre, low starch formulation to promote natural digestive function and hindgut health.
  • SUITABLE FOR ULCER-PRONE HORSES: A high non-structural carbohydrate (NSC) diet is a known risk factor for equine gastric ulcer syndrome. The low NSC content makes Ice® suitable for horses prone to gastric ulcers, especially when fed in two daily meals.
  • COOL CONDITIONING FOR HOT HORSES: Highly digestible fibres ferment in the hindgut to release energy that supports cool weight maintenance.
  • BASE FEED OPTION: Ice® can also be used as a base feed to help lower the starch load in high-energy diets, making it a beneficial option for performance horses and racehorses prone to tying-up.

Feeding recommendations are provided as a guide only. The amount required within the range will depend on your horse’s body condition and other variables. Horses must always be provided with adequate roughage alongside Ice®.

Feeding Tips:

  • Introduce Ice® to your horse's diet gradually over a 7-14 day period.
  • Feed by weight and not by volume.
  • Feed a minimum of 1.5% of your horse's body weight daily as roughage.
  • Horses have a small stomach, so feed little and often.
  • Ensure horses have access to clean water.
  • Do not add additional vitamins or minerals unless directed by a veterinarian or nutritionist.
  • Adjust feed intake according to age, breed, appetite, activity level, climate and body condition.
