Each mat has an inner soft density foam core that is 2.5 cm thick (1 inch). The outside is made from the same marine canvas and the original HoundHouse kennel. The material is heavy duty, waterproof and breathable, making your dogs home even more comfortable. If you live in a cool climate and would like to help your dog stay warm during the night, the HoundHouse heat mat comes with a heating element in one corner of the mat, helping your dog regulate their own temperature.
