The Beau Pets Gentle Leader Red is a head collar designed to discourage your dog from pulling and to make the walking experience both positive for you and your dog. The head collar is not a muzzle but when fitted correctly a simple walking device to stop them pulling. The Beau Pets Gentle Leader Red features two soft nylon straps with the collar section sitting high at the top of the neck, and the nose loop fits loosely and comfortably across the base of the snout with each strap having a distinctive and important part to making your dog walk without pulling. The nose straps main function is that it applies gentle pressure in the same way a dogs pack leader would grasp the snout with your dog learning in his own language that you are the leader. The collar strap at the back of your dogs neck simulates the same interaction a puppy would have with their mum when they are picked up by the back of the neck. With the gentle pressure at the back of the neck the dog pulls backwards not forwards to create perfect walking for you and your dog. Available in 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large.

To find the correct size head collar for your dog you would need to know your dogs weight, though if your breed of dog is known to have a larger or smaller head then average you may need to use an alternative size. The head collars are adjustable to fit a wide variety of sizes.                                  

• Small - Fits dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight of 5-10Kgs. Includes toy breeds and small dogs with a narrow, small snout. Examples: Toy Poodle, Lhasa Apso, Dachshund, Bichon, Pomeranian, Shih-Tzu, Fox Terriers, Jack Russels, Beagles etc
   
• Medium - Fits dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight of 10-27 Kgs. Also includes small dogs with a broad muzzle. Examples: Cocker, Collie, Beagle, Airedale, Australian Shepherd, Samoyed, Kelpies, Pointers, Blue Heelers etc
   
• Large - Fits larger dogs that will have an adult weight of more than 30Kgs, and some dogs under 30 Kgs with larger heads. Examples: Basset, Labrador, German Shepherd, Doberman, Rottweiler, Malamute, Akita, Bernese Mountain dogs etc.
   
• Extra Large Fits your giant breed dogs known to have big cuddly heads like Saint Bernard, Mastiff, New Foundland, Great Dane, Leonberger etc
