• Biotin: Biotin, a water-soluble vitamin is required by the enzymes responsible for protein synthesis and as a result is an essential vitamin for the healthy growth of hair and hooves. Research has shown that biotin improves skin and coat condition, increases hoof integrity and is widely recommended by farriers, veterinarians and scientists.

The addition of probiotics (live yeast) to equine diets improves fibre, phosphorus and calcium digestibility and increases gross energy, total lipid and amino acid absorption.

Feeding Guide:

Feedrite Prep & Show Mix should be fed in conjunction with ad lib roughage such as good quality hay (ensure your horse consumes more that 1% of its body weight in dry roughage per day). Feed according to workload and body condition, reducing feed allocation when workload is reduced or if a horse starts to gain excess bodyweight.

Feeding Rates per Day:

• Ponies 0.5 to 1.0 kg
• Medium Weight Horse 1.0 to 2.0 kg
• Heavy Horse 2.0 to 2.5 kg

Note:

• Introduce Feedrite Prep & Show Mix gradually over a one to two-week period.
• Adjust feed allowance according to body condition and workload.
• Ensure your horse receives adequate amounts of roughage (an amount of dry roughage equivalents to at least 1% or more of the horse's bodyweight should be fed daily).
• Make sure your horse has access to fresh clean water.
• Do not supplement your horse's diet with extra trace minerals, such as selenium, unless instructed to do so by a veterinarian or equine nutritionist.
