Baymec Pour-On is an ivermectin pour-on that treats and controls internal parasites including gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms and eyeworm; and external parasites including sucking and biting lice, mites, buffalo fly and cattle tick in cattle. It offers some sustained parasite control, including up to 21 days buffalo fly control and 56 days lice control (Bovicola bovis and Linognathus vituli) in cattle.

Baymec™ Pour-On Important Information

Baymec Pour-On is effective against ivermectin-susceptible parasites, but resistance may develop to any drench. Consult your veterinarian for detailed advice on a parasite control program.

Baymec Pour-On is a broad spectrum parasiticide for beef cattle and non-lactating dairy cows, as well as red deer. It contains ivermectin, a macrocylic lactone endectocide that has activity against adult and larval stages of parasitic nematodes, as well as susceptible external parasites.

Application

Dosage and Administration

Dosage is 1mL/10kg liveweight.

Apply the product along the backline of the animal in a narrow, continuous strip extending from the withers to the tailhead. Dose to the heaviest animal in the mob.

Absorption and efficacy may be reduced if product is applied to areas of thickened skin (from scabs or dermatosis), or to areas caked in mud and faeces.

Treatment should not be repeated in less than 42 days.

Withholding Periods

MEAT (Cattle): DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for human consumption.

(Deer): DO NOT USE less than 35 days before slaughter for human consumption.

MILK: DO NOT USE on lactating cows, or cows within 28 days of calving, where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.

EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI): DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for export.
